Argentina is known for its beef, of course, but it also shares its home with many different cultural cuisines. I started off my journey with salmon..had to! This is Grilled Salmon en hazelnuts crout, colcannon puree, and ginger syrup. Fascinating! I loved the crust of the Salmon and the colcannon puree, superb.

Nicole's Meat Curry with Basmati Rice. She did not complain. We weren't surprised that the beef was good. Argentina did not let us down.

You know I've always considered myself a "flan" kinda girl over creme brûleé. And since we were in South America, I had to try the flan out there. After not really having to search hard, I found the BEST flan in the world on florida y lavalle at the City Corner Confitería. It was so delectable. I could tell there was something added to it to make it special, but I couldn't quite put my tongue on it. Oh and the te con leche reminded me of home. Nice.

Vida Mía. A flavorful salad of mozzarella, basil, and tomato with lettuce. Seasoned with really good olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. I always love the combination.

Malena. Meat was a little dry but manageable. The vegetable sides were good but the potatoes were on the cold side. Overall, it wasn't too bad.

Tanguera. An acquired taste, but surprisingly delightful. The lemon ice cream was refreshing and new.

Fatay (empanda árabe de carne), shawarma de pollo, dulce árabe y gaseosa. Nicole said that this was one of the best things she had in Argentina. Me, I agree, but I do get middle eastern food (along with most other cuisines) at home that tastes just a little bit better. Overall, it was pretty special and I have no complaints.

Gnocchi. I fell somewhat disappointed with this dish. The gnocchi was quite chewy and sticky. My expectations were high and was sadly let down. The flavor wasn't bad though, I'll give it that.

Crema flan gelato. Yes I am a flan fanatic. The gelato was great. Of course I recommend that you eat it at the parlor unless you want to walk around with it outside while it is melting all over your hands.

Caprese y carne empanada. Caprese=oh so good. Carne empanada was pretty good. Argentina is also known for the empanadas. I didn't have a good carne empanada the first time around, but the couple I did have after weren't disappointing. Good empanadas.

Milanesa con papas fritas. It was really good but the whole dish was oily. Made my stomach ache for a couple days.

Pollo a la parrilla con puré. Nicole loved it. She wasn't disappointed.

Saved the best for last...the Carne Asada sandwich. Oh so good. So delectable. I smelled this from our bus while we were at a stop. After thinking about it for a second, I jumped off the bus and had to get me what I was smelling. It was a street asado cart with a nice man cooking beef chorizo and carne asada over his fire. I really couldn't decide which one I wanted! Yes I have problems making decisions when it comes to food. Usually I want both, but I decided on the carne asada. Good choice. I believe the meat was just marinated in the famous, oh so fabulous chimichurri sauce Argentina is known for having. The sandwich DIDN'T NEED ANYTHING after the marinade. Just added some mayonnaise and mustard for flavor and took my sandwich with me back on the bus so that we could head out to Mendoza. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST carne asada sandwich I have EVER had! I GUARANTEE you will not find and indulge in better carne asada anywhere outside of Argentina! Definitely not disappointed. My nose just knows.
Just a couple more fun things during my time in Buenos Aires, Argentina:

Look for Mendoza next.....
¡Vaya a la Argentina!
